For most of these names I am indebted to the blog of the Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company, which nominates the Ten Most Hilarious Seaweed Names. Writing under the pseudonym Dock Rock, the blogger tells us that he or she got the names from a book entitled Seasearch Guide to Seaweeds - Britain and Ireland.
